Solana Apps Just Outpaced the Next Network by 50% — A Bigger Trend Is Emerging
Solana is trading at $99.71, down 1.6% over the past seven days. While the price has pulled back from recent highs near $107, activity on the network tells a different story. Solana-based applications are generating significantly more fees than any other chain.
Clear Lead in App Activity
According to DefiLlama data from September 9, 2026, total app fees across major networks reached $15.1 million. Solana led with $5.09 million, outpacing the next network by more than 50%.

BSC followed at $3.3 million, with Robinhood Chain close behind at $3.24 million. Hyperliquid L1 and Ethereum trailed further at $1.95 million and $1.52 million respectively.
The gap is notable. Solana is not merely competing — it is pulling ahead in a metric that reflects real user activity and economic throughput rather than speculative volume alone.
This latest fee performance adds to a broader trend in Solana activity. Techgaged recently reported that Solana processed more transactions than all other networks combined, highlighting the network’s growing usage.
Price Softens as Fundamentals Strengthen
The seven-day chart shows Solana retreating from a local peak above $106. After a strong run earlier in the period, price has drifted lower into the current $99–$100 area.
The pullback has been orderly, and the network’s fee leadership has not yet translated into immediate price strength.

This divergence between on-chain activity and short-term price action is worth monitoring.
The contrast between network growth and price performance is not entirely new. Earlier Techgaged analysis highlighted Solana’s record user growth despite weak price performance, showing how ecosystem expansion can continue even when SOL faces market pressure.
A Broader Shift in Usage
Fee generation is one of the cleaner signals of organic demand. When applications on a single network consistently produce more revenue than peers, it often points to superior user experience, lower costs, or a denser application ecosystem.
Solana’s current lead suggests that developers and users are concentrating activity where execution is fast and inexpensive.
The presence of newer entrants such as Robinhood Chain and Hyperliquid L1 in the rankings also shows the competitive landscape is evolving.
Yet Solana’s margin over the rest of the field remains the standout feature of the latest data.
