Ethereum Exchange Liquidity Hits a 7-Month Low — Bulls Are Watching Closely
Ethereum exchange liquidity hits a 7-month low on Binance. CryptoQuant analyst Arab Chain flagged the drop, which tracks falling ETH reserves.
Falling reserves may mean some ETH is moving to wallets outside the exchange. If that trend continues, less supply would be available for selling.
Why Are Reserves Falling?
Binance’s ETH reserves fell to 3.47 million, a six-month low. That is down 11.5% from 3.92 million ETH in August. Withdrawal transactions on Binance also topped 320,000 on 6 October, a record.
That figure counts transactions, not coin amounts. Data quality matters here, as Ethereum’s exchange-flow history was rewritten in recent weeks.

What the Signal Does Not Show
The liquidity shock z-score measures how far exchange liquidity strays from its historical average. It does not predict price direction. Coins leaving Binance may head to cold storage.
They may also go to staking, where yields look different from the headline numbers, as staking APY is not your real return. Falling reserves alone do not prove accumulation.
ETH Slips 6% as Reserves Shrink
At about 14:45 UTC on 12 October 2026, ETH trades at $2,527.67. That is down 6.4% over seven days. The BTC pair stood at 0.03054895.
The seven-day chart opens near $2,700 on 6 October. Price slid below $2,600 by 8 October, then dropped sharply to about $2,410 on 9 October.

A slow recovery followed, with ETH holding near $2,500 through 10 and 11 October. A bounce to about $2,570 came on 12 October before price eased back.
The CryptoQuant chart shows the 365-day z-score near -1 at the right edge. That is far below the peaks above 3 seen earlier in 2026.
What Thin Supply Could Mean
Bulls read thin exchange supply as fuel. Sellers need coins on an exchange to sell quickly, and fewer coins mean fewer easy sellers.
Reserve numbers still need care, since proof of reserves is not proof of solvency. The next few weeks of reserve data will show how far this trend runs.
