XRP ownership is becoming increasingly concentrated among its largest holders. According to Santiment data, wallets holding at least 10 million XRP now control 46.87 billion tokens, equivalent to approximately 68.5% of the supply.
This is the highest concentration among these large wallets since November 2022.
XRP Whale Accumulation Raises the Stakes
The growing share held by mega-whales could indicate confidence in XRP’s long-term prospects.
Large holders accumulating tokens may reduce the supply readily available for trading, potentially supporting prices if demand increases.

However, concentration also carries risks. If major holders begin selling significant portions of their positions, the resulting pressure could trigger sharp price swings.
Whale balances alone cannot confirm whether these investors intend to accumulate further or prepare to sell.

XRP Bulls Defend the $1.30 Support
As of October 27, 2026, at 12:00 UTC, XRP trades at $1.31, down 2.5% over seven days. The token faced rejection near $1.39 on October 22 before declining to a local low of $1.27 on October 25.
Buyers have since defended the $1.30 psychological level. Immediate resistance stands at $1.35, while a break above it could open the way for another attempt at $1.39.

However, a sustained move below $1.30 could expose XRP to another test of $1.27. Losing that support would weaken the short-term outlook and increase the risk of further downside.
TechGaged has also covered a surge in XRP whale activity, offering additional context for investors tracking large-holder behavior.
What Whale Concentration Means for XRP’s Outlook
The concentration of 68.5% of XRP’s supply among wallets holding at least 10 million tokens presents both an opportunity and a risk.
Continued accumulation could support the market if demand strengthens, but concentrated ownership also leaves XRP vulnerable to large sell orders.
TechGaged’s analysis of crypto on-chain signals explores why wallet data is most useful when considered alongside price action and other market indicators.
For now, XRP’s ability to hold $1.30 and reclaim $1.35 will help determine its near-term direction. Whale concentration provides an important market signal, but it does not guarantee a rally.
Investors should monitor changes in large-holder balances and selling activity before drawing firm conclusions.
