XRP sweeps range lows twice, and buyers showed up both times. Price has moved inside a range since August, with a floor near $1.26 and a ceiling near $1.62. Traders now ask what the third test brings.
What Did the Two Sweeps Look Like?
The first sweep came on 18 and 19 October, when XRP dipped to about $1.26 and bounced.
The second came in the latest 24 hours, with a low near $1.25. Both times, sellers failed to hold price below the floor.
A broader sell-off sets the tone, as blood returns to crypto when Bitcoin loses momentum. XRP also struggled to hold gains, since a rally toward $1.39 earlier this week was rejected.
What Does the Bear Case Say?
Analyst Ali Charts calls $1.26 the lower boundary of a channel that formed in August. A break below it could send XRP toward $1.11 first. The channel then points to $0.98, about 22% lower. Supply data adds weight.
Wallets holding 10 million to 100 million XRP fell from 351 to 339, and exchange balances are rising. Spot XRP ETFs had no net inflows on 23 October after $3.55 million the day before.
ETF demand has been weak across crypto, and Bitcoin ETFs just had their darkest week earlier this year. The Fed meets on 28 October, which adds event risk.
XRP Presses the Weekly Floor
At 08:43 UTC on 26 October 2026, XRP traded at $1.2889. That is down 0.46%, or $0.0059, on the weekly XRPUSD chart.

The Parabolic SAR dots sit above price, which keeps the trend bearish. The MACD line reads -0.0201, above its signal line near -0.0446. The histogram reads 0.0245, but its bars have shrunk for several weeks.
That means the MACD line is losing its lead. The weekly candles show a peak near $1.65 in September, then a slide in successive red candles toward the $1.26 zone.
Levels That Would Shift Control
A hold above $1.26 keeps the range alive. Analysts see $1.34 as the first test for bulls, then $1.40. Regulation could help, as Japan gave crypto its biggest regulatory win yet.
A weekly close below $1.26 would hand control to sellers. Two sweeps tested the floor. The third touch may decide it.
