Morgan Stanley hasn’t recorded a single day of ETH outflows in 20 days. Arkham reports that the firm’s MSSE ETF bought $4.2M of ETH over that stretch. The number is small. The consistency is what stands out.
How Big Is the Streak?
MSSE is Morgan Stanley’s new spot Ethereum ETF. Its cumulative inflows reached $42.68M by 9 October, SoSoValue data shows.
It was also the only Ethereum ETF with inflows that week, at $1.32M. Fund flows are not direct purchases by the bank, but they show steady client demand.
Arkham’s table also shows Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin trust, MSBT, receiving coins from Coinbase Prime.

One transfer brought in 81.253 BTC ($6.62M) about a day before capture. Costs matter for fund buyers too, as ETF premiums and discounts can hide extra expense.
How Does BlackRock Compare?
The gap is wide. BlackRock’s ETHA lost $44.39M on 15 October. Spot Ethereum ETFs lost $60.22M that day.
Only Fidelity’s FETH gained, with $2.44M. ETHA also lost $477M in the week to 9 October, about 88% of that week’s category outflows.
Bitcoin funds show the same cooling, as Bitcoin ETF inflows collapsed 88% in early October. Total Ethereum ETF assets still sit at $15.29B. You can follow daily numbers on Farside Investors.
ETH Holds Near $2,400
At about 20:05 UTC on 16 October 2026, ETH traded at $2,409.91. That is down 2.9% over seven days. The BTC pair stood at 0.02949479. The seven-day chart opens near $2,490 on 10 October.
Price peaked near $2,570 on 12 October, then dipped to about $2,420 on 13 October. A rebound to $2,530 faded, and ETH slid to a low near $2,340 on 15 October.

A bounce lifted price to about $2,470 on 16 October before it eased back. Supply is thin on exchanges, as Ethereum exchange liquidity hit a 7-month low on Binance.
What Would Break the Streak?
One day of net redemptions would end it. Twenty clean days is a small sample, and $4.2M is a small amount. Each new flow report is now a fresh test for MSSE.
